The Halifax Area Council, Regional Women's Committee and Human Rights
Committee are helping those less fortunate this holiday season. Hats,

gloves, socks and scarves were packaged, along with a candy cane, and donated to Metro Turning Point, a shelter for homeless men, and Barry House, a shelter for battered women and children. In addition, supplies were donated to St. Patrick's Church on Brunswick Street which opens
its doors each night and provides shelter to approximately 20 homeless men and women.

PSAC members recognize that this is a time for giving to those men, women and children who need extra support during the winter months.

The Committees would like to thank Sister Deborah Young for bringing this
idea forth and for working to purchase the clothing items that made up
    more than 150
Holiday gift packages including gift packages for
    children.
